Kansas Road Trip, Part Three. Leaving Kansas and driving north to visit Sutton, Nebraska, where my grandparents lived and we visited on occasion as kids. Then northwest across Nebraska, transitioning from the midwest towards Wyoming's mix of mountains and high elevation, wind swept prairie. Fort Robinson was great, further west treeless expanses and rolling hills like giant frozen ocean waves. A couple nights with my pal from Texas, Mark, lots of fun, and then to Yellowstone for a day and finally, a long drive across Idaho and eastern Oregon to the green Cascades and just a bit more, to Eugene. The blog goes into more detail about land use.
