A lot of new fotos here.  I dont think I will ever catch up with all the captions.  Today waiting for the ferry to Varenna, across the lake from Menaggio, I met a Dutch couple, also waiting for the ferry with their travelling van and bikes.  We had a nice meandering conversation.  He works at Schiphol airport in Amsterdam as a first responder in case of a wreck and lives not too far.  Both places were once under water, they are on reclaimed land.  He told me the the word schiphol is old dutch and means place of wrecked ships!  Thats hilarious.

So now a new hall of fame hammock location.  Its down here on the beach, theres some kind of older concrete building wih metal columns that holds up the roof over a wooded deck.  Just enough distance apart to allow a hammock and what a view!!  I can see many miles up the lake and a number of towns at various distances.  And lots of mountains.  Its early evening and first lights should be appearing at any time. Some cumulo buildup so I am hoping to see some
distant lightning when its darker.  Nice breeze.  Some people on the cobbly beach and some ducks.  I may sleep down here tonight.  This is primo.
