Visit to Costa Rica

This August, I made a short trip to Costa Rica.  The original intent was to reduce the cost of dental work a dentist in Eugene told me I needed.  Dental care in Costa Rica is about a third less in cost than the US.  So the dentist in Costa Rica did a full panoramic x ray.  He and a colleague studied the x ray and proceeded to tell me I didn't need to have 3 root canals and 4 new crowns.  He said have a fun time in Costa Rica.

Ok.  One dentist said 3 root canals and 4 crowns.  The other said you don't need all that. I will write a blog describing what I think about health care in the USA.

So I started the fun part of my visit a few days earlier than expected.  The foto gallery with captions is a show and tell of the places I visited, some of the people I met.

Map below shows where I went.  Black lines are bike rides and hikes.
