Key words and concepts of the presentations – positive human potential is our greatest renewable resource, paradigm shift, the needs of the mainstream economy is at odds with healthy people and healthy planet, humans can do better and a growing number are already pioneers of a preferred future, building civic culture, key leverage point, eco logical footprint, prioritize time and money; allies, assets and actions; place making, block planning, financial permaculture, a repair economy, how to pay for the changes, one of our greatest challenges is to reverse a culture of social engineering, permaculture – diverse applications and diverse benefits

Short Bio - Jan has been transforming his 1/4 acre suburban property for 22 years. Thousands of people have visited over the years to see what a preferred future can look like at home, one's lifestyle, the neighborhood and community. Jan has presented on system change from Coos Bay and Oakridge to Yale and MIT. He has a syndicated radio program "Creating A Preferred Future," that originates at KEPW, 97.3 in Eugene that is broadcast in many other cities across the country.
Jan was in Europe for 3 months during the summer of 2022 and documented his interest in urban locations that are friendly to people and bikes.
