This page is about Upcoming Events
Jan is planning a visit to the Northeast from October 23 to November 13.
Jan Visits the Northeast this October and November and will be making several presentations.
The presentations will touch on transforming a suburban property in Eugene, Oregon and a variety of green initiatives and projects in the nearby neighborhood. Most of the presentation is about transforming culture and economy. The point of departure - global trends are saying humans cannot continue to consume and behave as our current economic regime requires.
That means big changes are called for. Jan will describe a fascinating selection of actions people and groups are making where they live, mostly in Eugene but elsewhere in the Pacific North West.
Great show and tell - Suburban Permaculture, Nearby Neighbors Network in River Road, Grass Roots Garden, CAT, Willamette Grain and Bean Project, City Repair in Portland, 20/20 in Port Townsend, Beacon Food Forest in Seattle, Neighborhood Pathways in Olympia.
Key words - Home economics, permaculture, human potential, social activation, multiple benefits.
