Block Planning Tour at East Blair Housing Co-op

Sunday, Feb 1; 1 PM to 3 PM; 940 W 4th in Whiteaker, dress warmly.

Join us for a fascinating tour of East Blair Housing Co-op. East Blair is certainly the best place in Eugene to gain a sense of what Block Planning [BP] has to offer. The tour is a follow up to the Citizens State of the City and County and Reclaiming the Urban Landscape presentation at the Green Home Show. Follow this link to learn more about Block Planning.

The tour will include comments on what is Block Planning along with social and economic aspects. Jan Spencer will lead the tour. Jan has had extensive discussions about BP with Mike Pease, architect and land use visionary, who the City of Eugene contracted with 25 years ago in an effort to bring several BP projects into being. That did not happen. Given the current conditions of economics, environment, energy, climate change and many other reasons, Block Planning is a better idea than ever. The tour will explain why!
