Host a Presentation

I welcome invitations to speak at stand alone events, conferences, giving workshops and at universities.

Please contact me.

Where and When

As of mid January, the Global Trends - Local Choices Project is moving along. I would like to start planning a speaking tour for Oregon - late February and late March. Washington State early March. California April.

Ideally, locations and dates can be arranged to be as convenient and energy responsible as possible. I will be travelling by personal vehicle.

One of my goals for this tour is for local people to show and tell me good works where they live. What I learn along the way can make my own presentations more dynamic and effective with ongoing updates. You can help compose the presentation!

Public Presentation

Please contact me with your ideas for hosting. Where, when, audience. Who is doing the organizing. I would like to have a good idea of how you plan to promote the event. As host, you are responsible for arranging for a place and publicity. As part of the GTLC tour, there is no cost for me to present but i will want to sell the GTLC DVD. Of course, people are welcome to make donations to GTLC. I will also need a comfortable and quiet place to stay, veggie dinner and breakfast.

I need to make sure my time is productive. How you present your plans to me will help me decide places to make presentations. I am glad to work with you to help make the event a success. Its fun to make plans!

When you contact me, please describe your ideas for promoting the event and collaborations with kindred organizations. Please be media savvy so radio, print, on line interview[s] are arranged. Consider inviting other groups to collaborate with and for tabling at the event and help with promotion. Consider follow up events like a green property bike tour.

Please have a look at making the most of hosting, it has a lot of great ideas to leverage my visit. Finding sponsors can be a big help. You most likely have more tools to work with for a great event then you know. Just organizing this can create new contacts and working relationships. I am glad to help!

Workshop

For a four hour workshop, I would like $400. Any DVD sales I make can subtract from the $400. You may charge admission for a workshop, find sponsors and make it free. I am open to creative ideas and other arrangements. Sharing info is most important. Please follow this link for information about workshops.

University

For a university engagement, in a town already on the tour, I would like $400 for a "half day" of being available. For example, I could speak to classes, meet with students or faculty, evening talk. I am open to other ideas. Also, lunch, dinner and a comfortable place to stay the night.

For a stand alone engagement, please contact me. I am interested to hear your ideas.

Conference

Please describe the conference - when, where, focus, history of conference/organizers/website and what you would like from me.

Thanks! There is much to share. Please don't hesitate contacting me with questions and ideas.
